The Department of Biology offers merit only and merit and financial need-based scholarships for undergraduate Biology/Zoology majors. By completing this application, you will be considered for general undergraduate Biology scholarships, including the Adams Academic Year scholarship.

Do you certify that you qualify for the Adams Undergraduate Academic Year Scholarship in Biology (minimum 3.5 GPA, Biology/Zoology major)? - If you have previously received an Adams Undergraduate Academic Year Scholarship, attach a one-page progress report for your most recent award (instructions below).
Your report should be one-page, 12-point font, single-spaced, with 1" margins. It should include a description of that year’s research activity and how you used the funding. Be sure to include the date of the award. Please see Help Text for permitted file type. - The application requires one letter of recommendation from an OU faculty member. Please provide the name and email address of your reference below and click "Save and Keep Editing" or "Finish and Submit" to generate an email to your recommender.You can check the status of your recommendation by clicking on the “References” tab at the top of the page.
Your reference will be automatically contacted via email to submit an electronic recommendation on your behalf. The deadline for your reference to submit the letter of recommendation is February 1, 2024. If your recommender does not receive the email, contact scholarships@ou.edu. It is your responsibility to ensure that your recommender receives the email request and submits his/her recommendation prior to the deadline. - Letter of Recommendation Waiver
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 gives students the right to inspect letters of recommendation written on their behalf for an application for financial assistance. Students may waive this right and keep letters of recommendation confidential. This waiver is voluntary and is not a condition of any award. Scholarship committees may place higher value on letters of recommendation that are submitted confidentially. - Show 3 more
