Margie Wilson Richison Aviation Scholarship

Awarded in honor of Margi Wilson Richison, this scholarship is made available to current students pursuing a degree in the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences School of Aviation.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the below requirements.

  • Currently enrolled student in the School of Aviation
  • Must be a holder of a Class III Medical Certificate
  • Must have completed a solo flight

  1. Please submit a copy of your Class III Medical Certificate. Please submit this as a PDF file
  2. This application requires a one to three page letter. Please crate a letter detailing your aviation goals and aspirations, and academic, athletic, career, professional, or other achievements to date. Please also address your current aviation experience, why you feel deserving of this scholarship award, and how it will be used.

  3. This application requires three letters of recommendation. Please provide the names and email addresses of your references below and click “Save and Keep Editing” or “Finish and Submit” to generate emails to your recommenders.     Your reference will be automatically contacted via email to submit an electronic recommendation on your behalf.   6. Letter of Recommendation Waiver

    The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 gives students the right to inspect letters of recommendation written on their behalf for an application for financial assistance. Students may waive this right and keep letters of recommendation confidential. This waiver is voluntary and is not a condition of any award. Scholarship committees may place higher value on letters of recommendation that are submitted confidentially.
