The George Henderson Jr. Graduate Scholarship (Master of Human Relations)
The George Henderson Jr. Scholarship was created by Dr. George Henderson to honor his son. The criteria for this graduate scholarship are:
- The candidate must be a degree-seeking Norman-campus Human Relations student.
- The candidate must have been admitted with at least a 3.0 undergraduate GPA in their last 60 hours of undergraduate work and maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher in their graduate work. Their undergraduate degree must be from an accredited undergraduate institution. Alternatively, a student who is admitted with less than a 3.0 undergraduate GPA can be eligible to receive an award after he or she has completed conditional or provisional status requirements.
- Although this is not strictly a need-based scholarship, the Department will consider candidates with special circumstances.

- Letter of Recommendation Waiver
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 gives students the right to inspect letters of recommendation written on their behalf for an application for financial assistance. Students may waive this right and keep letters of recommendation confidential. This waiver is voluntary and is not a condition of any award. Scholarship committees may place higher value on letters of recommendation that are submitted confidentially.
