Department of English Scholarship Application

Currently enrolled students in good standing with the University of Oklahoma Department of English program are eligible to apply for scholarships via the Department of English Scholarship Application.

In order to be eligible for some need-based Department of English scholarships, eligible students must complete and submit their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

In order to be eligible for some Department of English scholarships, students must be enrolled full-time. The University of Oklahoma classifies full-time enrollment as…

  • Undergraduate students enrolled in 12 or more credits per semester
  • Graduate students enrolled in 9 credit hours, or 5 credit hours and have a .5 appointment as a GA or TA.

  1. Compose a statement on how your education has been and will be financed. Please explain the importance of a scholarship to your financial needs related to your undergraduate or graduate work and your career goals.
