Paul Shanor Memorial Scholarship
The Paul Shanor Scholarship was established in loving memory of Paul by his family and friends. Paul was tragically killed in 2006. As a University of Oklahoma student and Community Service Chair for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Paul established himself as a conscientious, responsible, caring student who was passionate about helping others through his involvement in volunteerism and community service. Applicants should demonstrate their involvement in the community.
REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must have completed a minimum of 72 credit hours by January 2026; be expected to graduate in 2026 or 2027; earned a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher; and be enrolled full-time in spring 2026, unless they are a senior needing a specific number of hours to graduate or are enrolled in an accelerated degree program. If a student received this award during their junior year, they should not reapply during their senior year, as their name is already on the award list. Applicants must have demonstrated evidence of community involvement.
