Belle W. Goodman Chemistry Graduate Scholarship Application

Belle W. Goodman Endowed Scholarship: To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must be a graduate student in the Department, have a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and demonstrate a clear financial need.

Applicants should provide outcomes from current research by submitting a CV listing their GPA and detailing submitted manuscripts, peer-reviewed publications and accepted manuscripts, and presentations, including an explicit description of the specific contribution(s) of the applicant. It is expected that the applicant will have completed their coursework and the General Exam, but this is not strictly required. In addition, a letter of recommendation from at least one faculty member that can attest to the research progress of the student should be included. Additional letters are optional and will only be accepted from the applicant’s advisory committee members that hold faculty positions in the Dept of Chemistry and Biochemistry, or from a departmental core facility director only for students that have formal internship experience in that core.


Currently enrolled graduate and PhD students in good standing with the University of Oklahoma Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry are eligible to apply for scholarships via the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry Graduate Scholarship Application.


In order to be eligible for some need-based Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry scholarships, eligible students must complete and submit their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
